| Financial Officers Finalize Purchase of Union Hall Today, Local Union Financial Officers Sharon Elliott (Treasurer), Carlos Luna (President), and Tom Long (Financial Secretary) signed closing papers on property located at 1307 Central Avenue, Lake Station, Indiana to become the official Union Hall for United Steelworkers Local 2003. The details of the purchase will be available to all members at the Locals regular monthly meeting on February 19, 2009 The property was formerly Christopher Funeral Home. Union members will immediately begin the work necessary to make the building viable for Local 2003 members needs, as well as begin the transition from Local 2003's offices at McBride Hall in Gary Click HERE to read the TIMES article |
